Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting, or participating in, multi-disciplinary process improvement/reengineering projects and providing transformation redesigns of cumbersome processes in every area of the Commissions Operations Department

  • Serves as an internal consultant to the business or functional area to coach and provide direction in order to achieve desired business results.

  • Routinely exercises independent judgment to provide highly innovative solutions by developing methods, techniques and criteria to achieve objectives like :

    • Ensuring incoming and outgoing transaction processes are controlled, effective and efficient.

    • Finding innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions.

    • Improving efficiency and scalability of processes, ensuring the highest level of quality within our operations and minimizing operational risk.

    • Implementing effective Commissions production, reporting, monitoring, escalation and resolution management while driving continuous process improvement.

  • Counsels assigned business(es) regarding implementation of process improvement strategies, measurement, and training. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., sales, HR, marketing and product management, customers and partners) to deliver best-in-class Commissions processes for our customer, supplier, and employee base. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees when necessary.

  • A key responsibility of this position is leading the process improvement activities, initiatives, and chartered projects to identify any improvement opportunities in this area and, if needed, proactively design and implement new processes or procedures that mitigate risks while resolving deficiencies such as current revenue, sales, assignment, quota, personnel and other metrics.

  • This role will review all current workflow processes, recommend improvement opportunities, and provide financial impacts and risk assessments to executing process change.

  • Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, or techniques. (LSS, TQM, Kepner-Tregoe, Process Simulation Software, Process Automation Software, Data Extraction and Mining Software, Statistical Software etc.)

  • Demonstrate understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable continuous process improvement.

  • Value is provided to the enterprise by constantly improving the processes associated with the systems and delivery of Commissions services, which provide timely, accurate information and ultimately safeguard Verizon assets.

  • Analyze data to identify new opportunities and execute projects to increasing revenue or improve value for our Commissionable employees/agents as we continue to grow and expand business footprint.

  • Develop strategy and set functional policy or direction. Lead large, cross functional teams or projects in support of changing environments impacting compensation and help the organization achieve their long-term goals.

  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of finance, accounting, and additional support systems.

  • Play a key role in improving cash flow and profitability by seeking scalable, cost- efficient solutions that minimize the impact of operational issues.

  • Successfully operate in the most complex disciplines in which the company must operate to be successful.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

  • Experience in Query tool (e.g., SQL or Cognos or VBA).

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience.

  • CIDA, CPBPM, LSS, ITIL, certifications.

  • Proficiency in process modelling and simulation, data extract and mining, and statistical software like iGrafx, Vizio, IDEA, Minitab.

  • Expertise in BPM methodologies (LSS, TQM, CPP, Kepner-Tregue ...).

  • Experience in directing and leading the quality/process improvement activities/projects with in a function or division.

  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.

  • Experience with process analysis & automation, organizational development, and process design.

  • Skilled in quality improvement techniques, analytical reasoning, and problem solving.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to lead and drive complex operational initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with seasoned management.

  • Collaborative working style and ability to work with vendors and internal teams.
