A Process Technician position in Danville, VA is available through Adecco Engineering & Technology. This is a direct hire position. The Process Technician will be responsible for the set-up, testing and maintenance of laser equipment and it's related systems, mailing equipment, laminator, card punch, cutting plotter, polar knife, etc. The ideal Process Technician candidate will possess experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, as well as experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment. This is a 3rd shift role at $17.49hr, full time with benefits.

**THIS IS A THIRD SHIFT POSITION: 10:30PM-7:00AM**

Process Technician responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform regular maintenance and repair of laser engraving equipment, mailing equipment, desktop printers and servers by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and working with the supervisor
Troubleshoot day to day equipment and quality problems
Draft maintenance and repair procedures, including preventative maintenance and calibration plans
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Recommend process and product improvements to manufacturing
Continuous improvement project activities and technical support as directed
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
Document actions by completing time and maintenance logs
Ship, receive, maintain, and swap warranted parts


Qualifications for the Process Technician include:

At least two years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
Technical training in instrumentation process control, electrical engineering technology, manufacturing or mechanical engineering technology, aircraft mechanics/maintenance, electronics, or laser optics
At least one year of experience performing electro-mechanical maintenance and repair of production equipment
Prior clean room experience is required
Proficiency with business related computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes)
Knowledge or experience with networks (Windows 2000, XP, and Linux)
Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and blueprints
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety
Creative problem solver with ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to train on first shift for two - three months, then move to permanent third shift hours: 10:30pm-7:00am
