The Procurement Engineering Intern will be responsible for: - Being the Procurement Link in factory, drives AOP & savings via cost down projects - Being first point of escalation for delivery/quality issues, etc. at line and factory level - Executing factory related supplier improvement actions - Executing actions coming from Value Engineering projects & DfX projects in the line and factories - Executing procurement strategy, manage phase-in/phase-out of suppliers - Putting in procurement contractual data in MRP (lead-time, price etc.) - Reporting procurement KPI's on factory level (incl. GSRS) - Supporting price negotiations with fact-based information and opportunities to drive short term product cost reduction improvement. - Managing Customization & Engineering to Order Projects (nonrecurring components, specific suppliers) -Supporting the deployment of early supplier involvement through target costing and tracking for assigned product or module. - Contributing to the development of an effective set of cost models to track "target cost" status for assigned product. - Maintaining updates to the costs for assigned product/module and ensuring that cost models are up to date and information is available as required. Must be a degree seeking candidate pursuing a major in Electrical Engineering
