At Farmers, you will learn how to:

· Extract, manipulate, and interpret data sets to identify areas of opportunity

· Efficiently compile your findings and present them to your peers and senior leadership

· Study industry trends and conduct local market analysis for competitive intelligence

· Network and build relationships with colleagues that represent a myriad of backgrounds and skillsets

· Develop and implement holistic business strategies across the organization to drive profitability and growth

You will spend eight to ten weeks during the summer working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to:

· Pulling data from Business Objects and other data warehouses and manipulating through Excel, Access, MapPoint and SAS

· Researching and compiling competitor analysis

· Identifying target markets within specific regions

· Providing meaningful insights and presenting findings to leadership

· Understanding the product life-cycle and it relates to Farmers as a whole

· Collaborating with departments outside of product management including pricing, distribution, claims, and government affairs


· GPA of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale

· Undergraduate (Junior standing preferred) pursuing degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Economics, or related major

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Self-motivated individuals with effective time-management skills

· Previous exposure to any of the following preferred: Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

· Eligible to work in the United States
