POSITION OVERVIEW
Provides assistance to Louver products representatives and customers by providing product knowledge and pricing assistance, and assisting the Product Marketing Manager with product promotion and introduction of product to new and existing representatives and customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support for both internal and external sales people in the areas of selection and application.

Provide timely responses and/or action for all inquiries and requests received via telephone, e-mail and fax.

Assists with competitive product research that will be used to help create definitions for new product development projects. Research includes: (1) competitive price analysis; (2) competitive performance analysis; (3) feature and accessory analysis; and (4) overview of strengths or weaknesses compared to competitors.

Reviews blueprints/drawings, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from customer's use of proposed products.

Assist in performing a material take-off from contract documents periodically.

Fulfill the responsibilities of the sales department with orders, which includes the following. Customer purchase order execution, internal pricing clarification, customer change order write-up and pricing, order write-up for order entry, clarification with engineering for construction, addressing of customer concerns during fabrication, arranging for special freight and resolving of disputes regarding quality and/or incorrect invoicing of orders.

Assist with literature development projects including catalogs, price sheets, installation and maintenance manuals, submittals and case studies.

Coordinate special design requests and special pricing with internal resources to ensure the company can meet its commitments.

Identify and find solutions to field application problems using experience and other departments as resources.

Assist with the development of internal and external sales and product training seminars.

Assist in the creation of electronic presentations using MS PowerPoint to support sales efforts.

Maintain familiarity with the competitor's products and apply this knowledge to Ruskin's advantage.

Continuous development of product / process knowledge through plant visits, process raising seminars or others as required.

Visit customers to obtain "voice of the customer" and create reports with recommendations that will help to achieve the department's goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates/Technical degree from a two-year college or university; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four- year college or university preferred; or four to six years related experience preferably in the HVAC industry (defined as having detailed product knowledge and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 15% or less travel required.


COMPUTER SKILLS
Required knowledge / experience in MS Word and Excel using MS Windows platform.

Helpful knowledge / experience in Illustrator, AutoCAD, Photoshop, AutoCAD Civil 3D


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
