Sensors & Integrated Systems, a business unit of UTC Aerospace Systems, is leading provider of cutting-edge sensors and sensor-based systems for the commercial aerospace and defense industries including electronic flight bags, air data systems, ice detection and protection systems, fuel measurement and management systems, guidance navigation and control systems, health and usage management systems, rescue hoists, mission data recorders and sensing suites for aircraft engines.

SIS is headquartered in Burnsville, MN and has 4 reporting segments:
•Air Data, MEMs and Flight Management Systems (AMFMS) with locations in MN and India
•Inertial, Control and Aircraft Management Systems (ICAMS) with locations in UK, CT and VT
•De-icing, Rescue and Specialty Systems (DRSS) with locations in CA, OH, WV and France
•Fire Protection Systems (FPS) with locations in NC, Germany, France and UK
The Ohio facility is seeking a Product Line Manager (PLM) to lead a cross functional integrated product team accountable for the overall health, execution, and growth of a given product line. The PLM responsibilities include the product line financials and strategy deployment. The PLM ensures alignment of the products, within a given product line, with all internal and external customer requirements, for the strategic plan period. The PLM will also provide assistance, as deemed appropriate, for market strategies, product positioning and customer support.
Level of Responsibility:
  • Accountable for the P&L, budget, staffing, and/or business/operational results of assigned product line(s)
  • Deploy and execute the Product Line strategy
  • Maintain knowledge of product qualities and functions and provide information to customers as required.
  • Monitor product life cycle and ensure successful implementation of product changes.
  • Lead an integrated product team to ensure optimal level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure process implementation and robustness
  • Monitor work transfers
  • Accountable for production readiness for new products
  • Oversee value engineering assessment and implementation
  • Analyze all functions and features of existing and new products and optimize alignment with customer requirements
  • Manage other managers and/or senior individual contributors

Qualification: 7-10+ years product management and/or operations experience
Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy
Strategic leadership and execution
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Education: BA/BS degree w/10+ years experience
MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience
PhD degree w/4+ years experience
