Wells Fargo Virtual Channels (WFVC): WFVC serves consumer and small business customers through digital (online, mobile, and social) and contact centers (phone, email, and correspondence). We provide customers with convenient ways to manage their accounts, enable digital payments, provide solutions that meet their financial needs, and more. WFVC serves over 27 million customers through our digital channels and support over 5.8 billion customer interactions annually through digital and contact centers.

Join the Virtual Channels Authentication product group as a Product Manager focused on Fraud Detection tools. This key role will be responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of innovative authentication and fraud detection capabilities that protect Wells Fargo’s customers, products and services. This multi-faceted role will provide oversight and hands-on support for key strategic initiatives.

The Product Manager 4 is a leader who understands and can implement all stages of the product life-cycle which would include need analysis, idea generation, competitive analysis, product development, financial analysis, due diligence, product governance, product positioning, product bundling, strategic positioning, and marketing strategy.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating across the enterprise with business and technology leaders, strategists, analysts, and architects to define and develop product strategies that proactively address emerging threats

  • Developing and managing a roadmap of strategic product enhancements

  • Working with third party vendor supporting fraud detection solutions.

  • Preparing and maintaining product documentation.

  • Being a thought-leader in working closely with partners to proactively identify innovative options and solutions to the business and customer needs/problems.

  • Analyzing reporting data to measure and manage product performance and efficacy

  • Staying informed of fraud and authentication trends, threats and industry solutions.

Location: Charlotte, NC and San Francisco, CA. Position is open to all locations within the Wells Fargo footprint.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product management experience, product development experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • 9+ years of product management experience
  • Product strategy development experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of web or online product management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Knowledge and understanding of online authentication, authorization, fraud, or security
  • Knowledge and understanding of authentication and detection solutions used by online financial platforms
  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
  • Ability to manage in a matrixed organization environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of mobile software security
  • Ability to manage small to medium size projects or initiatives, from initiation through implementation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data
  • Vendor management experience
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
