Product Manager, Clinical Analytics

Current Need
This role will have primary responsibility for executing specific clinical analytic initiatives within Decision Management business unit’s InterQual clinical and technology portfolio.   The clinical analytics product manager will be the principle architect and designer of key new clinical analytic initiatives tied to the business plans, including the development of new analytic models and prototypes, starting with the automation of InterQual reviews to prove client value. He / she will create and maintain the product roadmap and also provide subject matter expertise and industry knowledge in sales and marketing opportunities.  In addition, this role will assess new market needs and determine how to best include them in the organization’s strategic long term planning.
The clinical analytics product manager will be an industry expert responsible for understanding key healthcare issues and trends as well as competitive product offerings, and translating these into new cutting edge and enhanced analytic solutions. To achieve these goals, the clinical analytics product manager will regularly interact with executives and/or strategic customers as well as partner with major stakeholders within the Decision Management business (e.g. Services, Marketing, Strategy, Clinical & Software Product Development, Business Development, Sales and Account Management, etc).  The clinical analytics product manager will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in all InterQual sales opportunities where needed as well as drive customer feedback for areas in need of advancement to assure market leadership of the brand.  An understanding of technical product management, the Pragmatic Marketing framework and inherent quality in an Agile Kanban and Scrum methodologies is also desired.

Position Description
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and translate business and market needs surrounding appropriateness of care (UM, CM & DM) into requirements that result in measurable, tangible results, driving a measurable return on investment in our solutions.
  • Develops  new innovative analytics models and prototypes to better meet market needs and drive competitive differentiation; determine feasibility of models and drive prioritization of activities to bring to market
  • Defines and implements  systems to  measure ROI surrounding DM solutions
  • Leverage new authoring tools or delivery vehicles
  • Data analysis as part of beta testing & focus groups of new models
  • Lead business case planning and development for analytic service offerings
Content Tools and Development
  • Works with clinical development to assist in standardizing and automating tool sets for optimal efficient performance and for ensuring quality output.
  • Works with partners to assist in defining the integration and / or interoperability between systems that is efficient and effective and scalable
Create, document and manage 18-24 month rolling analytics product roadmap
Provides analytic subject matter expertise to stakeholders such as sales, marketing, training, clinical, consulting services
  • Attends sales opportunities with key accounts to improve perspective on our analytic capabilities as well as solicit market input on needs
  • Provides feedback to training and documentation regarding clinical positioning of the IQ Products
  • Works with clinical  and product development to assure translation of analytic enhancements into products
  • Presents webinars/educational sessions for new product or product enhancements
Support product-line releases. Working with product managers and clinical leaders to provide market acceptance of product changes / enhancements.  Develop/maintain working knowledge of all IQ solutions.
Participate on cross-functional, non-product task forces, as needed. Work collaboratively across products, departments, and partners to support synergistic process and efficiency improvement opportunities.


Minimum Requirements
5+ years of experience in product marketing

Critical Skills
5+ years of clinical/healthcare experience with 1+ years in analytics (payer, hospital, physician office).
Proficient in Tibco Spotfire/analytics tools, SQL Server and other mainstream relational databases, MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills, including facilitation of groups and processes. Collaborative, client focused and able to create visible value.
Strategy development, business skills, product management experience including sales and marketing participation to provide analytics expertise, direct customer interactions, and varied approaches to customer and prospect communications. 
Must be comfortable with, and highly effective in, leading matrixed, cross disciplinary teams and communicating with a diverse market base.

Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, analytics or mathematics. 
Critical Skills

Pragmatic Marketing certification is desirable.

Physical Requirements
