Principal Product Manager

Working within the Oracle Responsys Product Management organization, this position works with customers, partners, Professional Services, and product managers to define best practices and product enhancements that help customers configure and use Oracle Responsys products in a technically efficient and scalable way. This includes not just core channels supported by Responsys (email, SMS, mobile apps, display advertising) but also Responsys' integrations with other products within the Oracle Marketing Cloud and with products in Oracle's CX suite of applications.

Responsibilities

Comprehensively understand and influence the best practices for how to implement and safely use Oracle Responsys products.
Interact with prospects, customers, partners, and Professional Services regarding these best practices, especially for large-scale and strategic customers.
With respect to partners:
Create a scalable process to oversee and track partner implementations
Create and update certification exams for consultants within the partner ecosystem
Be the product representative in the partner certification process and ensure the right qualification criteria is followed for certifying new partners
Create best-practice documents and knowledge articles to help the partner ecosystem
Be the point person for escalations from customer implementations (done internally or by partners); work with relevant members from various teams (Engineering, Support, CSM, Technical Services) to address the escalation
Based on continuous interactions with prospects, customers, partners, and internal Technical Services:
Influence product-strategy and feature-prioritization initiatives by effectively representing the interests and abilities of Oracle Responsys customers' and partners' technical personnel. This includes being an active member of the internal Product Council.
Work with Engineering and other product managers to define product enhancements that promote the intelligent configuration and safe use of Oracle Responsys products.
Work with Product Documentation and Training to create materials for teaching best practices in data modeling and system usage to customers, partners, and Oracle personnel.
Define and implement tracking of Product Success KPIs (key performance indicators).
Work with Customer Success to proactively evaluate key accounts' configurations, data models, and usage patterns to identify opportunities to lower technical risks and to improve performance. Define and, where possible, create tools that automate aspects of these evaluations.
Collaborate with other product managers in evaluating customer requests for Master Service Agreement exceptions to evaluate their technical risk.
Qualifications:
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
