Oracle Cloud offers enterprise ready SaaS, PaaS and IaaS services delivered over the internet. Oracle Cloud Operations group's mission is to operate a Oracle is currently looking for an Operations Product Manager for the Oracle Cloud Operations team focusing on Oracle Cloud architecture.

This role will work closely with Development and Support and be primarily responsible for championing Oracle Cloud Operations & Strategy across multiple Oracle Cloud Services portfolio. Additionally, this role will also work on effective documentation and communication of Cloud Operations service capabilities to internal stakeholders, external prospects, and customers. As Oracle is a global company, this role may require occasional travel.

  • Own product management and strategy for Oracle cloud operations including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services for customers.
  • Team collaborator, own and be main point of contact for Oracle public cloud strategy initiatives.
  • Work with multiple business stake holders, field service personnel, internal cloud teams
  • Ensure that Cloud Operations service requirements are consistently understood, accepted, and prioritized across Oracle Cloud Service development teams.
  • Responsible for new services and M&A on-boarding process by leading service readiness reviews and doing map and gap analysis with hosting and delivery policies and ensuring operational standards are enforced.
  • Create and maintain the technical documentation of cloud capabilities for field and customer/prospect consumption, including technical data sheets, overview sales presentations, training plans and security and operational Oracle Cloud Practices documentation.
  • Create and maintain Oracle Cloud Policies content and practices documentation.
  • Responsible for driving alignment of operational processes, product enhancements, and new product development to meet a unified cloud strategy.
  • Project ownership of initiatives supporting and improving Oracle Cloud capabilities.
  • Sales Enablement through trainings and creation of FAQs and other collateral.
  • Provide tactical and strategic planning and direction for the Cloud Operations team.

Experience, Skills, Academic:
  • 10 yrs of overall IT experience
  • At least 5 yrs of cloud operations related experience is a must
  • At least 5 yrs of product management and strategy experience is a must
  • Experience dealing with field services, sale/pre-sales, customers is preferred
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant Oracle products and services and core areas of responsibility.
  • Sales Enablement through trainings and creation of FAQs and other collateral.
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in one or more of the following - SaaS, Platform, and Infrastructure Cloud services.
  • Technical knowledge in any of the Oracle Cloud Services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) preferred.
  • Strong organizational direction, time management, problem-solving, prioritization, goal setting, leadership and motivation, negotiation, interpersonal relations, verbal/written communications and human resource management. Must be able to interface and coordinate work effectively with senior business leaders.
  • Evangelize key Oracle Cloud operating principles within product development design teams.
  • Effective influence across technical and business teams within Oracle.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Oracle's various Cloud solutions across it's portfolio of SaaS, PaaS & IaaS and be able to support customers questions on way in which Oracle operates them. The candidate will be well versed with PowerPoint presentations and contribute significantly to the maintenance of various internal Confluence sites for knowledge management. The individual must have good understanding of cloud architecture and preferably the hosting and delivery policies and best practices. The candidate will lead the service readiness review process for on-boarding of new cloud services and any new Cloud acquisitions.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 years of software engineering or related experience.
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
