Performs a variety of clerical and /or administrative duties in support of department functions and goals: sorts incoming product and mail for distribution; inputs and maintains department computer records; generates consumer invoices for chargeable parts and services; and processes outgoing products and mail.
¿ Opens and examines returned products and merchandise.
¿ Inspects product related communications for accuracy, serial number, model type, reticle, etc.
¿ Identifies consumer concerns. Enters and updates systems with customer information for national customers.
¿ Prepares product for shipment and creates invoices.
¿ Cleans lenses on scopes and installs dials and caps as required.
¿ Pull and process part orders including processing move orders and transferring kanbans to Assembly.
¿ Participates in product training activities, learns product families and scope types, participates in shooting tunnel training with range officer and participates in events hosted on-site or at Leupold Optics Academy (the Company¿s off-site training facility).
¿ Ensures that quality expectations are met.
¿ Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment. Provides suggestions to help improve ergonomics and safety issues in the area.
¿ Keeps area clean and organized for increased efficiency and accuracy.
¿ Performs other duties as assigned.
¿ High school diploma or equivalent.
¿ 1-2 year experience with product maintenance preferred
¿ Ability to manipulate small parts.
¿ Ability to understand and follow written instructions, and correctly fill out data sheets and perform simple math calculations.
¿ Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with all team members and adapt to different work groups.
¿ Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers in English, including the ability to read, write and speak English.
¿ Ability to effectively use and apply company approved software and office equipment to process and accomplish job-related tasks.
¿ Perform duties through self-initiated organization skills and attention to detail.
¿ Ability to switch assignments with changing priorities.
¿ Ability to apply process and product knowledge for response to routine questions. Follow work instructions and consistently retain information.
Work involves switching assignments with changing priorities, daily deadlines, interruptions, and occasional overtime. Job requires concentration and attention to detail. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; rarely up to 25 pounds with assistance; rarely push and maneuver wheeled carts weighing over 200 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel products, parts, tools, or controls; occasionally prepares items for mailing by folding, stuffing, and taping.
