Our client is focused on discovering and developing novel drugs to treat cancer and rare genetic metabolic diseases, through scientific leadership in the field of cellular metabolism. In addition to an active research and discovery pipeline across both therapeutics areas, we have multiple first-in-class lead product candidates in cancer metabolism and rare genetic, metabolic diseases in clinical and/or preclinical development. All programs focus on genetically identified patient populations, leveraging our knowledge of metabolism, biology and genomics. Responsibilities: Individuals in this position perform operational application management activities to support validated business applications. This includes, but is not limited to, system administration, user account management, user support, and change management, testing and business process improvements. The candidate would serve as technical expert in work groups or on project teams, will work under moderate deadlines and workload, and will be given general objectives with expectation to complete tasks with a high degree of independence. Duties include: • Acting as primary technical SME assisting with the creation, support, and maintenance of moderately complex systems • Work through task loads with full understanding of client business organization, practices, and requirements • Given general guidance, determine tasks and follow through on assignments with minimal direction while maintaining adaptability to competing demands. • Promote work group development, guide and assist to improve understanding of business and technical processes. • Accountability for delivering high quality technical solutions to the business, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for upgrades, installations, qualification and routine administration. • Ensure the smooth transition of enhancements and new functionality to steady state operations. • Maintain GxP compliance and adhere to all regulations and governance necessary to ensure integrity of our applications. • Adhere to business processes and comply with respective Standard Operating Procedures. Requirements: • Bachelor degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering or equivalent • Required-Minimum 5 years' experience working in industry, of which 3 years is supporting validated systems • Strong experience in fundamental technical skills and delivery of IT solutions • Experience in working directly with the end users to provide application support and resolve issues • Strong communication skills, both written and oral with proven ability maintain cooperative working relationships with internal customers, service providers and business/system owners • Experience in supporting systems in a GxP environment, including creating and managing computer system change management/validation documents. • Experience in any of the following disciplines: project management, system architecture, management of regulated systems, computer system validation, Sys/App Admin support of regulated GxP applications • Experience with electronic document management systems, quality management systems, learning management systems and ERP/supply management preferred. • Understanding of active directory, servers, database concepts and information models - required. • Experience maintaining Web client/server type apps - required. • Prior experience in SQL/SSRS and Linux/UNIX preferred. • Technical writing experience preferred (e.g. user guides, training materials, etc.)
