Production Manager $45K - $52K+ Benefits The Production Manager manages several Line-Leads and working under the operations manager's supervision. The role of production manager is to provide leadership of all manufacturing related functions along with safety and regularity requirements. The production manager's key challenge is to maintain production within specific guidelines for production efficiency, labor cost, product rework, waste amounts, and cost-of-quality. Responsibilities: Manage the effectiveness of the production team by forecasting labor requirements, recommending, and implementing improvements and modifications to structure, processes, procedures, methods, and equipment. Responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting on a variety of performance measures. Propose, implement, and facilitate using continuous improvement tools such as: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvements. Review predetermined production schedules with planning to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible with having the ability to adjust on demand when customer demands dictate. Monitor operation expenses and identify potential areas of cost reduction while maintaining product quality. Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports as well as provide guidance and support on career development and growth. Support and maintain environmental compliance within the facility, including hazardous waste management, storage, and shipment. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. Qualifications: Experience managing groups of larger than 12+ people in an environment where rapid ordering and quick setups and deliveries are the norm. Experience operating in an environment which focuses on Customer Excellence, Safety, Quality, Teamwork, and Communication and Continuous improvement. Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus.
