Adecco has a direct hire opening for a Production Manager located in the Richmond, VA. The candidate will have a focus on scheduling as this company has many complex projects and customized builds. There will also be an emphasis on managing a staff of supervisors and indirectly overseeing an operation. This candidate must be a people person that is well organized and must get this team back on track after routine urgent projects are completed. The salary range for this role is $65K - $85K annually (consistent with education and experience). This is great opportunity for growth!
The Production Manager job responsibilities include:
Schedule production to meet or exceed cost and service objectives
Staff | manage production floor staff within budget & according to defined safety protocol
Monitor & review performance of staff | organize necessary intervention for improvement
Ensure standard operating & quality standards are met
Prepare | monitor production reports & conduct monthly safety meeting
Determine, implement & manage preventative maintenance to minimize production cost, equipment & process investment
Maximize safety, efficiency & output
Manage emergency maintenance efforts including outside resources
Meet defined downtime reduction goal
Meet defined scrap goal
Critical thinking & problem solving skills
Planning & organizing
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
Qualifications / Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in production and manufacturing processes, techniques and knowledge of:
Scheduling (complex projects)
Safety standards & compliance
Quality systems & standards
Process improvement techniques
Human resource principles & practices
Machines & tools
Bachelor's degree (engineering, industrial technology or business administration are preferred) but specific experience may be acceptable in place of degree.
