The Production Planner position is designed to plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements. Working within the ERP system, you will create a master data sheet of work schedules, bill of materials (BOM) and priority projects for the production crew. Your skills in continuous improvement, root cause analysis and quality management will be key in ensuring that customer satisfaction is exceeded and shipment dates are met. Our client is new to the U.S. market and has a strong presence in overseas markets including Germany.

As the Product Planner, you will be responsible for the following:

Lead and coordinate daily, weekly and monthly production orders
Monitor the production process to ensure execution of production goals
Support of production supervisors on continuous improvement projects
Conduct root cause analysis for process failures related to scheduling, planning and execution
Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
Create production forecast and production planning
Work closely with manufacturing personnel and the purchasing department on material availability and production planning issues


Qualifications:

Associates degree or higher in business, planning or a related field
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in production planning
Experience working in an ERP system (SAP experience preferred)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent MS Office skills
Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment highly desirable
Scheduling and/or planning in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment highly desirable
