Production Planning Business Process Owner

Johnson & Johnson, Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Production Planning Business Process Owner. This position is to be located preferably in Somerville, NJ, Puerto Rico, or Brussels, Belgium. 

The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies—including sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices—that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women’s health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. The Ethicon Surgical Care business combines products and services of two market-leading legacy companies, both with long histories of medical innovation. Production Planning Business Process Owner Responsibilities:
Deploying key projects and standardization within production planning
Ensuring best practices are established and standardized throughout the business communities and driving the Plan Maturity roadmap
Ensuring all production planning system solutions are consistently meeting the needs of the business, taking action to address break-fix issues while also managing efforts to improve business capabilities via system enhancements
Representing the Planning Excellence group in all aspects within the region (preferably LATAM) to drive the linkage between the GPEx team and the regional Supply Chain Leadership Team
Driving global process benchmarking and market trends monitoring, as well as strategy and roadmap definitions
Shaping and implementing plan maturity strategy and roadmap for Production Planning processes & systems, ensuring alignment to Back-to-Basics and other cross-functional programs
Driving deployment of planning strategies and transformational projects
Ensuring the GPEx alignment with the regional Leadership team
Defining and implementing harmonized and standardized processes to drive business and departmental results
Governing operational stability of legacy processes and tools to ensure appropriate business process execution
Leading a team of Business Process Leads and Analysts in the Production Planning area
Partnering with the J&J PLAN CoE to represent GPEX objectives as well as driving the implementation of CoE strategies
Collaborating with CGT’s to drive implementation of Production Planning process initiatives
Partnering with global Supply Chain teams to identify, rationalize, and prioritize the desired process & systems enhancements intended to strengthen planning capabilities

Bachelor’s Degree required with preference in Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent/Advanced degree/MBA preferred
Minimum Eight (8) years of relevant experience required
Minimum Three (3) years of people management experience Required
Project and Program management experience, including scoping, planning, execution and resource management required
PMP, FPX, or equivalent certifications preferred
Excellent grasp of (production) planning processes and functions, with a strong understanding of end-to-end planning processes required
Knowledge of ETH / CSS Supply Chain processes and systems preferred
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Project and Access required
Experience with Planning Systems (e.g. SAP APO, JDA/Manugistics, Demantra/PDP, OMP+, Synchrono) and/or ERP (JDE, SAP ECC) preferred
Experience with Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools, training and/or certification is preferred.
APICS certification (CPIM, CFPIM or CIRM) preferred
Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish preferred
Ability to lead and influence required
Experience successfully implementing change across multiple organizations with cross functional stakeholders preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust to the audience (business vs. technical, professionals vs. leadership) is required
Ability to develop, master and maintain complex technology skills, with demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert is required
Ability to translate complex topics into simple, workable solutions required
Global experience preferred
