Responsibilities for this Supervisor of Production job include:
-Interprets company policies and procedures to employees and enforce company policies and procedures.
-Delegates work assignments to proper individuals or shifts.
-Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
-Demonstrates professionalism when representing the company in all communications.
-Conducts informational meetings with employees to support the business objectives of KRPM.
-Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or individual.
-Upholds the shift to accomplishing production goals and meeting shipping deadlines.
-Works within the policies and procedures of the company
-Monitors and improves efficiency of individuals, department and company.
-Strives for continuous improvement by learning and implementing new ideas.
-Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
-Conducts performance appraisals annually.
-Develops employees to achieve expected level of quality and service.
-Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
-Monitors the training of new employees. Maintains and updates employee training records.
-Fills out corrective action report reports. Monitors and reduces scrap and rework.
-Works with other shift supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
-Performs set-ups and/or runs machines and equipment as required.
-Sustains housekeeping standards.
-Maintains internal safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of trade school/vocational education/apprenticeship and/or equivalent relevant work experience
-Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer contact skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
-Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude; Microsoft Office preferred
-Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision
-Ability to accurately read machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
-Ability to perform and retain various skill related tasks, training and operations
-Thorough understanding of ARCO business operations and processes
