The expectations of the Production Supervisor are as follows: Supervision of Personnel - Motivate, develop, and direct staff as they work while continuously identifying the best people for the job Conduct employee training in operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers Advise employees on ways to improve processes or products Enforce safety and sanitation regulations Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked; confer with Management on major attendance or performance issues Lead by example and be willing to assist or fill in to any department when needed Organize, Plan, and Prioritize - Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals Read and work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs Analyze productivity details of staff and machinery to prepare variance reports to management on daily basis. Innovate new plans to improve productivity and reduce variances Communicate with Supervisors, Peers, and Staff - Provide information, directions, and feedback to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, e-mail, and in person Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency Make recommendations to Management in regards to personnel actions, such as hiring, termination, evaluations, and promotions. Discuss any policy or procedural changes to the staff Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances Qualifications for this position include: Bachelor's degree, or working towards obtaining degree with additional work experience 2 + years of leadership experience within a manufacturing, production, or fulfillment environment Green or Black Belt Certification is ideal Familiarity with food and beverage handling safety procedures Strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Suite and ideally SAP
