My client in El Cajon, CA is seeking direct hire Production Supervisors for the 1 st and Swing shift.

This person will supervise workers who use hand tools, jigs, and various power tools and equipment at floor or bench stations to assemble small, large, or precision sub assemblies or finished products. The Production Supervisor also supervises technicians on the assembly line to ensure quality standards.

Specific Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include but are not limited to:

  • Studies schedules and estimates time, cost, and labor estimates for products, services, and/or completion of job assignments.

  • Requisitions material required to meet production goals.

  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees and assigns duties.

  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.

  • Examines assembled products to determine if items meet tolerance specifications.

  • Ensures failed products are repaired to meet specifications.

  • Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.

  • Trains new workers in operation of equipment.

  • Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules.

  • Evaluates materials and products to maintain organization standards.

  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between departments.

  • Responsible for the work effort and the appraisal of personnel.

  • Adjusts flow of assembly line for efficiency and priority by utilizing best practices

  • Oversees procedures used for assembly process meet engineering requirements

  • Maintains and distributes assembly line output log to maximize production efficiencies

  • Maintains shop appearance and cleanliness

  • Supports and maintains safety procedures to ensure a safe and effective environment

  • Supports company directives, Utilizes best practices to achieve goals

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

    RequirementsQualifications of the Production Supervisor:

    �3-5 years� experience in manufacturing production
    �Understanding of mechanics and mechanical drawings,/strong leadership skills
    �Strong customer service skills
    �AA degree or equivalent, demonstrated ability to set priorities
    �Communicate across functional lines
    �Coach, train new employees, develop goals, understand quality concepts and practices
    �Provide leadership in safety and other policies and guidelines
    �Ability to coach and communicate with employees and communicate across functional lines.
