Role Summary:

This role will be responsible for overseeing a manufacturing cell within a lean, metrics-driven environment. This individual will not only own the oversight of the manufacturing process, but also the initial quality of components manufactured within the cell. Successful candidates will be well versed in the manufacturing space, excel at troubleshooting and using data at hand to develop solution in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Oversight and management of front-line hourly manufacturing employees

+ Expected to resolve problems through effective troubleshooting, data analysis and historical data

+ Works together with individuals at various levels within the business

+ Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and present metrics/productivity

+ Evaluation of initial manufactured products for quality correctness, fit and finish through the effective use of specifications and prints

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing supervision role

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

+ This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics:

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited University or College is strongly preferred

+ Ability to utilize lean/six sigma tools to enhance the productivity of a manufacturing line as well as troubleshoot process errors and irregularities

+ Ability to interface with vendors and internal contacts in an effective manner to ensure adequate quality parameters of manufactured product

+ Ability to ensure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical / historical base for future reference and to meet customer/end user requirements

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

+ Ability to work independently

+ Strong problem solving skills
