Production Support Consultant, Wire Operations, Livonia

The Production Support Consultant will serve as a technical professional participating in all and managing some phases of small to large sized projects / initiatives for wire operations as well as performing production support activities. Scope includes defining test efforts, creating test plans and scripts, validating system changes, application management and incident management. Also, supports the business unit performing various daily support activities.

Position Responsibilities

* Participation, consultation and coordination of business / system requirements. * Test planning, test script development, test execution, issue resolution and risk management. * Interacts with various business systems operations and client areas to determine priorities and assure adequate system and technical support for responsible applications. * Manages small to medium sized projects involving multiple departments. Utilizes standard project methodologies and serves as representative on various project teams. * Perform day to day support activities including data base changes, user maintenance, risk mitigation, system / functional queries and serves as the initial point of escalation to ensure issues/incidents are documented and resolved timely or escalated as appropriate. * Establish appropriate process controls to ensure efficiency and quality. * Interface with various levels of client, systems and vendor or supplier contacts. * Demonstrated analytical skills * Communication skills

Minimal local travel may be required

* Bachelor's degree or 4 years of Technical/Operations experience. * 2 years of experience performing a lead role in small to medium sized projects. * 2 years' experience managing processes, projects, systems or operations. * 2 years of experience testing, validating and implementing system changes. * 2 years of experience with Microsoft applications such as Access, Outlook, Word and Excel. * 2 years of experience reviewing, developing or approving professional/technical documents; system designs, test plans, test scripts, business / system requirements and procedures.
