Eaton located in La Grange, NC has an opening for a Production Team Lead to work on 1st Shift
 
Position Overview
Lead and direct production employees in all phases of the plant operations to achieve plant goals.
 
Essential Responsibilities
  • Understand, comply with and hold team accountable to Eaton policies outlined in the Eaton Business System
  • Assist and advise Supervisor with scheduling and organizing employees to accomplish production operations
  • Coordinate with peers and supervisors to deliver results in alignment with High 5 goals and objectives
  • Plan and conduct daily Gemba meetings
  • Complete all reports and records as required
  • Teach, coach and mentor operators in assigned area as needed
  • Maintain training records of team members in assigned area
  • Advise management team of opportunities to improve/advance manufacturing processes and increase throughput
  • Responsible for the proper care, maintenance and location of all tools and equipment
  • Set the example for good housekeeping and 5S throughout work area
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that drive improvements in Safety, efficiency, cost reduction and equipment utilization
  • Lead by example on all MESH safety rules/procedures and compliance standards and ensure that all employees under your direction are following established safety polices/procedures.
  • Encourage employees to participate in Engagement activities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • No relocation is provided for this opening. Only caniddates that currently reside within 50 miles of the La Grange, NC facility will be considered.
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory or leadership experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Previous SAP and Microsoft Office products experience
  • Previous continuous improvement experience
  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends and extended shifts as needed
