**Job Description:** The Virtustream Public Sector organization is looking for a passionate and self-motivated professional with a strong track record of successfully deploying complex programs across the public sector and/or regulated markets. Experience with both SAP enterprise applications and cloud technologies is important. The Program Director will be responsible for: overseeing and providing program leadership for large, ongoing customer cloud migration projects; managing senior client and partner relationships to both maximize CSAT and drive incremental business; institutionalizing methods and processes to ensure consistent program results, matrix leadership across Virtustream functions, external suppliers and end-user customers; managing the overall success of our most strategic partner. The Program Director is accountable for executive oversight and delivery success for the full life cycle of projects and programs from solution architecture to migration and onboarding to steady state cloud managed services. The Program Director acts as the primary interface to the Virtustream Global Delivery organization, our strategic partner(s) and peer leaders associated with the engagement. This role requires the ability to think creatively and solve problems across a complex environment. The candidate must be proficient in effectively navigating internal and external organizations to keep all parties accountable for deadlines and commitments against a well-orchestrated project plan. An ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and drive results is a must. The ideal candidate must be able to support multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time accordingly. Success metrics for the Program Director position will include but are not limited to the following: + Driving transformational cloud projects on time, on budget and on expectation. + Effectively scoping, planning and budgeting projects. + Achieving QC goals for each program. + Successfully leading and driving change control through disciplined project management, expectation management, structured communications and effective RACI execution. + Lead the team to: + Track the progress of key projects with automated planning and reporting + Manage budgets and expenditures + Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team + Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner + Communicate ideas for improving company and program processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others + Keep the extended teams (both internally and externally teams) informed about project status and issue resolution + Manage and mitigate risks across all phases of projects and programs. **EMC Values:** When you choose our company, you join a diverse world of innovative thought leaders. We encourage applicants of all ages. **Critical Hiring Criteria:** The ideal applicant will have the following: + Minimum 15 years of experience in the IT industry + A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certifcation + Past experience managing large customer engagements involving end-to-end IT infrastructure components including but not limited to data center, network, compute, storage & backup, operating systems and databases. + Experience of driving transformational IT projects related to data center consolidation, network optimization, migration to cloud, etc. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with CXO level stakeholders + Ability to deliver services and adherence to SLAs through delivery model + Experience in complex SAP environments as a Program Manager/ Program Director + Deep familiarity with PMO/Program Management tools (ex- ability to create an integrated program plan utilizing Microsoft Project, Program Mgmt.
