The Program Executive is accountable for ensuring the successful deployment of the Workday service for some of our largest, strategic and most complex customers. These companies are typically large, multi-national organizations implementing our HCM/Payroll and Financials solutions. These large projects contain numerous work-streams, multiple phases/waves and are highly dependent on a comprehensive governance model to ensure success.
A prerequisite for this role is the ability to interact with C-Level, establishing relationships, trust and confidence. The program Executive must understand and respect the customer's organization to ensure an optimal solution is deployed and must work closely with Workday sales, delivery, product and support teams to drive high customer satisfaction.
The Program Executive will work closely with sales to help scope, estimate and position the necessary services to deploy Workday. It is common for one or even multiple Workday service partners to play a role on these large deployments, therefore the Program Executive must effectively collaborate with all involved parties to achieve deployment objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Leverage broad-based industry knowledge and deployment expertise to ensure customer success
  • Proactive coordination with sales and partners to scope, estimate and position Professional Services on opportunities
  • Act as a liaison for customer and partner teams with various Workday organization including; Executive Management, Product Management, Professional Services, Customer Success and Education
  • People Management:
  • Provide direction for Project Directors and Engagement Manager per Workday's methodology and PMO policies
  • Mentor Project Directors and Engagement Manager to maximize their potential including monitoring performance against established goals
  • Work with Workday's resource management and consulting leadership to staff project teams and act as an escalation point for project staffing issues
  • Manage project budget and produce revenue forecasts
  • Establish and execute against a clearly defined governance framework
  • Provide leadership to project teams for critical program activities regarding scope, budget and timeline
  • Liaise with deployment partner organizations to insure success of the program
  • Facilitate and resolve deployment issues with customer project PMO and executive sponsor
  • Provide project review and progress to Workday Executive Management, customer PMO and Executive Sponsor and partner deployment executives
  • Represent Workday on steering committee
Knowledge and Experience:
  • 15 + years of HCM, Payroll, and/or Financial systems deployment (Highly preferred 2+ years of Workday deployment experience)
  • 10 + years of professional services experience
  • Proven leader with solid and large-scale service and business leadership track record with experience leading streams
  • Experience leading large enterprise-wide programs with top tier multi-national companies
  • Ability to build and sustain excellent relationships at multiple levels within Workday customer, internal and partner organizations
  • Emotional intelligence and an ability to challenge in a nuanced way, influencing areas of business that are not under direct control is critical
  • Good history and track record of working with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Engineering to make sure everything is geared to customer success
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with CXO levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant technical field; MBA strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel 50 - 60 %
