It’s an exciting time to be working in Windows and Devices group at Microsoft. We’ve gone from a release every 3 years with Windows 7 to 3 releases of Windows 10 in the last year. We are driving excitement in the technology market via Surface, Xbox, HoloLens and other innovations. Windows has transformed from a boxed product that came with your PC to an always up-to-date operating system that powers all Microsoft devices and enables a diverse ecosystem of 3rd party PCs, laptops, phones, tablets, AR/MR devices, game consoles and more. The pace of innovation and the reach of our ecosystem, experiences, applications and devices is increasing. We are on a mission to transform our relationship with people from needing Windows, to choosing Windows, to loving Windows.

Our team ensures applications and devices you use daily continue to work seamlessly even as we change and improve the underlying OS. We ship a great deal of functionality in the box, services as well as being at the center of shipping new Windows versions to every capable device in the ecosystem. Our team is integral to successfully shipping new Microsoft and 3rd party devices.

If improving the experience for hundreds of millions of users excites you, if you have a passion for understanding OS complexities, developing marketable system experience, if working across large sections of Windows and Devices teams, and if you are interested in using big data to transform understanding of customer problems, then this is the job for you. We need to talk!

In this role, you will manage industry leading testing & validation efforts to find compatibility bugs in our apps and devices ecosystem and drive fixes across Windows and Devices teams. You’ll conceptualize and build systems and features to measure and scale these efforts. You’ll drive innovation to use rich diagnostic data to find these issues sooner.

Overall, you’ll help drive our transformation from being reliant on lab based testing to becoming service and data driven by leveraging data science and technology to scale our efforts. You’ll help ensure we ship each successive Windows version with the highest levels of quality and enable our ecosystem of applications and devices to ‘just work'.

Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of program management experience and shipping products
• Excellent track record of cross group collaboration
• Experience working on OS, embedded systems or similarly deep technological areas
• Experience writing functional specifications, and collaborating with software engineers
• Ambitious, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented
• Prefer experience with/exposure to latest data science techniques
