Microsoft CSE has a Program Manager role within the Corporate Functions Engineering (CFE) Finance organization. The P&L reporting & Finance Reporting Platform reporting teams are looking for a program manager to execute agile sprints within a fast paced, high visibility program to redesign core elements of Microsoft’s financial reporting infrastructure.

We are looking for a technically savvy and operationally disciplined Program Manager to be responsible for corporate P&L reporting process-related activities. As part of the team, this program manager will participate in an agile team in partnership with Software Engineering to deliver key functionality to our user community.

The successful candidate will be a Program Manager with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross discipline projects.

This roles responsibilities include:

•Standard project management tasks including schedule, tracking progress, managing issues & risk and compliance with other releases (e.g. Sustain releases).
•Presentation of program status and issues to Management on a regular and consistent basis in regular status reporting and status meetings.
•Providing Business Partner input represented in both business and technical terms with descriptive requirements and design including mock-ups and process workflows, to ensure the value of the project is realized.
•Creating high quality user stories including testable Acceptance Criteria
•Ensuring projects consistently meet standards and policies (agile, security, privacy, etc.)
•Ability to participate in multiple releases at the same time using a weekly agile sprint delivery model
•Understanding technical architecture to determine project impacts.
•Providing actionable detail for the Software Engineering Team on future project phase requirements.
•Performing analysis on data, ETL Flow, and technical impacts of requirements & Features



Basic Qualifications
•3 years Engineering Program Management
•3 years Finance Reporting system experience
•BA/BS or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
•3 years SQL technical skills
•3 years non-SQL technical skills
•3 years working with data models
•SCRUM/Agile delivery skills
•Excellent written and oral communications
•Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
•Excellent presentation skills and experience of presenting to senior management

Additional Responsibilities:
•Formulate designs for improvements and changes to systems
•Prepares system related analysis and research
•Determine impacts to changes on core system and related systems
•Assist in the delivery of systems to consolidated financial reporting
•Drive implementation of financial reporting system recommendations
