Manager located in New York City, NY.

Design Office (GSDO) is an internal design team responsible for creating
desirable, feasible and viable holistic end-user solutions across all of
Johnson & Johnson’s business groups: Consumer, Pharma and Medical Devices.

The Program Manager is a
leader and a liaison who will oversee a diverse range of GSDO projects,
both internally to the Studio and externally with existing project teams across
the Enterprise. You will exemplify both the capabilities and practices for the
PMO team at the GSDO, as defined by the PMO Senior Manager.
- Reports to PMO Senior
- Satisfy portfolio
management needs for assigned sector: database accuracy, reporting, analysis,
dashboards, risk management, and data driven decision making.
- Work with cross
functional team to plan and manage several large scale, high priority projects.
- Guide and faciliate
project teams through GSDO project work flow process and ensure that activities
are properly completed for each milestone.
- Lead direct reports that
will assist in managing projects and achieving PMO goals for assigned sector.
- Partner closely with
GSDO sector leads to develop portfolio strategies and solutions in an
environment of limit resources and exciting project challenges.
- Assist in developing
yearly business plan for assigned sector, which includes project scope
information, resource capacity analysis, and budgeting.
- Develop strong
relationships with peer groups and key stakeholders outside of GSDO, to be able
to integrate GSDO PMO into partner processes and systems.
- Continually improve and
strengthen PMO's ability to help GSDO succeed, by developing strategies and
implementing new portfolio management systems or workflow procedures.
- Share and learn best
practices within J&J PMO community.
Finally, you will lead
by example and in accordance with the J&J Credo and J&J Leadership
advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA) is a plus.
minimum of 8 years’ experience required,
in two or more of the following functional areas preferred:
engineering, IT, research and development, planning, marketing and/or
demonstrated history of managing complexity and analytical thinking
individual with direct experience in new product development thru launch
for consumer products, in a fast paced environment preferred.
of 4 years of experience demonstrating and utilizing Project Management
and Product Lifecycle Management practices for large scale projects
managing a portfolio of projects using Microsoft Project and a Microsoft
Project Server highly desired.
training and/or certification in Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, Agile
and/or Scrum preferred.
Management Training and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
experience is preferred.
