Robert Half Technology is searching for a Programmer Analyst with a passion for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives and with knowledge about software and applications programming and industry requirements. The Programmer Analyst will play a vital role in a company in the Printing/Publishing field. Through research and fact-finding, you will make recommendations for developing or modifying applications or databases. This is a long term temporary-to-fulltime Programmer Analyst role based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Apply today. How you will make an impact - Helps create communication content for certain system changes being implemented in production - Assesses processing systems. Builds improvement recommendations - Analyzes user requests for systems changes or improvements. Documents functional requirements and assesses cost, feasibility and utility. Develops recommendation as to how, when or whether to proceed with making the changes - Provides guidance for internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting problems with programming. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education - Analyzes and documents issues. Works with other programmers to correct code problems - Supports end users and other partner groups, providing ongoing training and assistance for a particular application, system or process - Builds and maintains dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst - Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all met
