Programmer Analyst

Robert Half Technology is searching for a Programmer Analyst with a passion for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives and with knowledge about software and applications programming and industry requirements. In this role, you would provide recommendations for developing or modifying applications or databases, using research and fact-finding. Based in Irving, Texas, this is a long term temporary-to-fulltime Programmer Analyst employment opportunity you do not want to miss.

What you get to do every single day

- Creates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and manages updates to maintain them

- Collaborates on establishing communication materials for specific system changes being implemented in production

- Serves as the in-house guide for internal clients experiencing programming problems, consulting on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting the issues. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education

- Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all met

- Analyzes and records issues, collaborating with other programmers to fix code problems

- Analyzes user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Creates documents of functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility. Suggests how, when and whether to proceed with the changes

- Reviews methods of processing and recommends improvements

- Provides end users and other partner groups with continuing training and assistance for a specific application, system or process
