Program Marketer, Events - N.A. Marketing
The North America Marketing team is responsible for delivering Oracle's vision, strategy, direction and innovation through a variety of events ranging from national conferences to roadshows to hospitality to other executive and 3rd party events. These events target prospects, customers, developers and partners at all levels within an organization. The group's main objective is to produce the right event, with the right messages at the right time to the right audience.
The Programs Marketer is part of a team that is responsible for the development and execution of events primarily targeting the executive community. The types of events that will be included include roundtables, seminars, hospitality as well as 3rd party.
Elements of this role include, but are not limited to:
Work on the demand generation for the event with Oracle's Brand and Creative team as well as the various stakeholders for each event. Work on creating event pages for the event. For larger events this would include working with the web team as part of the larger project Work on the operations for each of the various events. This can include things such as arranging team meetings, identifying venues, working with strategic vendors Coordinating communication between North America Marketing and Oracle Corporate Marketing on various schedules, messaging and deliverables. Organizing Oracle's participation in 3rd party events. This includes working with the various stakeholders for content and messaging.
Ability to prioritize competing projects in a dynamic and demanding environment. Effective communication across all levels of the organization. Ability to work as part of a virtual team with representatives from various organizations within Oracle.
5 years of marketing experience with at least 3 of those years in the event marketing. Proven experience in a similar marketing role and work environment. Experience in working in a virtual team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail and focus on results. High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm and commitment. Flexibility and ability to work in a dynamic environment and willingness and openness to learn. Ability to work in a high-pressured, fast-moving and challenging environment. Ability to travel through North America Team oriented person who can work well under pressure and deliver on deadlines Position Location: Onsite at Oracle HQ in Redwood City, CA Travel Component:

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle*s products and services.
Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns. Assist with planning and management of pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Manage standard / moderately complex advertising campaigns and arrange sign off with country / regional management. Anticipate problems when dealing with relatively complex projects, propose and develop business driven solutions to overcome them. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Provide support to others managing partner advertising. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience.
