Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group of Companies is recruiting for a Project Analyst located in Skillman, NJ. This position will be part of the Global SMART SPEND COE and reports directly to the PMO Manager, Global SMART SPEND. The Project Analyst will support the PMO Manager on delivery of all tasks assigned to the Global SMART CoE – the organization responsible for global governance of Johnson & Johnson’s Consumer SMART Spend Program.

The Project Analyst will acquire a basic understanding of SMART principles and processes to provide day-to-day support of the SMART program. The Project Analyst will support educating Consumer Business employees on SMART Spend principles and processes; and will provide tactical support to all initiatives to drive adoption of SMART processes globally. 

Major responsibilities include:

•             Prepare materials for the weekly PMO and Core Team meetings

•             Provide project management support to SMART categories including progress status, issues, and developing corrective actions

•             Collaborate with key Regional and Category stakeholders to monitor progress of Regional implementations at Category level and problem solve

•             Provide daily tactical support for action items to ensure SMART achievements

•             Provide direct support to and respond to requests from Stakeholders to enable SMART Control and Monitoring review cycle

•             Support the analysis, and development of SteerCo and GOC presentations

•             Provide analysis and commentary on global SMART Performance, risks and opportunities, and Program initiatives identified during review cycle

•             Manage and update SMART resources: education documents, tools, templates, process maps

•             Provide oversight for Control & Monitor Global and Regional level

•             Support the development of the SMART budgeting approach

•             Provide support to deliver the 2017 / 2018 budget in accordance with SMART Budgeting methodology

•             Support delivery of Q1 2017 and ongoing SMART Financial Reporting

•             Support developing additional global framing & commentary as appropriate for the SMART financial reporting for Q1 actuals

•             Coordinate and synthesize SMART Financial Reporting feedback from business partners

•             Support socialization and alignment of SMART Operational KPIs with key business stakeholders

•             Collaborate with the Procurement and business partners to identify subsequent waves of enhancements to SMART Operational KPIs

•             Managing definitions and development of Operational KPI

•             Oversee the distribution of Procurement KPI

•             Supporting SMART Program implementation and executing SMART processes on a day-to-day basis

•             Responding to all requests by the SMART CoE Team for SMART Program support and analysis

•             Supporting execution of SMART initiatives cascaded from Leadership and SMART CoE PMO Manager, Director and Vice President

•             Supporting execution of the SMART actuals management review process, and successfully facilitating the regular cycle of analysis, performance reviews and action planning

•             Supporting change management as requested to facilitate adoption of SMART principles and processes within the Organization


  • A minimum of a BA/BS in communication, management or a related business field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in project management, marketing or related field required.
  • At least 1-year experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Brand Marketing or Healthcare Marketing is highly preferred.
  • Candidates must have strong analytic, strategic, organizational and communications skills. Candidates must be results oriented, have demonstrated leadership abilities, and the ability to work well within a cross-functional team.
  • This position requires up to 20% domestic travel.
