Project Controls Engineer Co-op (St. Louis)

As a Project Controls Engineer Co-op at Monsanto Headquarters, you will have responsibility for the following:
  • Working with project teams to control/manage project costs
  • Developing capital and expense cost forecasts/expenditure curves
  • Preparing and presenting project cost reports
  • Working  with engineering and construction contractors to validate cost estimates
  • Continuous oversight of project costs to identify potential deviations and recommend corrective actions to project teams
  • Facilitate the gathering of diverse inputs related to project cost management and project execution planning
  • Work with project teams to develop conceptual and detailed project execution schedules
  • Analyzing project events to accurately depict project status and schedule trends throughout the entire project cycle
  • Monitor and reconcile project cost reports
  • Work to improve estimating and scheduling practices and tools within the Project Controls Group
  • Enter contracts and contract change orders into SAP
  • Service entries for receiving to allow invoice payment
 This Co-op assignment will be completed during the fall semester.

Required Skills/Experiences:
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (EXCEL,WORD)
  • Proficiency with project scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Timeline, Primavera)
  • Proficient with SAP
  • Working knowledge of the building/ facilities construction process and contract delivery methods
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to handle several project assignments simultaneously
