Adecco Direct Hire is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client in the Transformer Service industry for the position of Project Engineer Transformer Service in Manchester, NJ. Candidates for this role need a minimum of 5 years of transformer service experience in the utility/electrical industry. Relocation assistance will be offered to candidates who meet the requirements of this position. The ideal fit for this role will have specific experience in large power transformer experience. Our client is seeking candidates who have worked on new power plant transformer installations, transformer maintenance, vacuum filling transformers, and transformer electrical testing. This experience is an absolute MUST. Additional duties and responsibilities of this opportunity include: Overview: The Project Engineer Transformer Service is responsible for planning, quoting, scheduling and managing power transformer service projects, both technically and commercially. Power transformer service projects extend from the assembly and installation of new transformers through transformer oil processing to warranty and maintenance work. He/she coordinates all project-related work with customers and internal crews of technicians. He/She performs site visits to determine project work scopes, proposes service solutions and deals with suppliers. He/she is responsible for the correct offer and order processing including financial project controlling. Responsibilities: Communicate with and consult customers in the electrical power industry Analyze technical requirements and consult customers with regard to complex technical inquiries Coordinate offer elaboration, cost and sales price calculations as well as project execution Project scheduling and planning Coordinate technicians and suppliers Financial project controlling Prepare project reports Additional Requirements: Minimum requirement: Engineer or technician with relevant experience level Experience in Project Management and with PM software Minimum 5 years of transformer service experience in the utility/electrical energy industry Expert knowledge in the field of transformer design and transformer service Expert knowledge in electrical engineering Strong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) Understanding of estimating models pertaining to transformer services The ideal candidate for this role must also be open to light travel (maybe 2-3 times per month, (but all within driving distance of the plant) business-oriented, professional, and be able to work hand-in-hand with our client's Operations Manager.
