Position Purpose: Responsible for managing significant projects which support the vision of the global travel program (e.g. strategic change management, new business and product initiatives, rollout of new solutions, process re-engineering, establishment of control procedures). Use of the PMO development methodology to monitor and ensure completion of projects on schedule. This position is dedicated to a Multi-National organization with a strategic vision and an accelerated approach to drive efficiencies, value to the organisation and improved user experience.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Adhere to PMO project methodology
Manage projects through a complete project life cycle
Define project charter (project objectives, scope and deliverables)
Create estimates of effort, costs and timelines for proposed projects and take responsibility for managing against these estimates
Lead reviews of requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off
Assist in prioritization/phasing of project deliverables
Secure and coordinate the necessary resources for a project by working with the appropriate individuals, including any vendor or third party resource
Develop and manage communication plans supporting the project; including, but not limited to, status reporting, management of issues and risks
Lead and execute change management activities in partnership with relevant resources
Conduct satisfaction survey and post project reviews to outline lessons learned, as appropriate
Skills / Attributes:
Extensive global travel background / experience required
Strong qualitative, analytic and project management skills are required
Proficient user of MS suite of products, including Project and Office
Excellent written communication skills (including process flowcharting, formal business solutions documents, executive presentations)
Strong verbal communication, presentation skills
Able to influence and build relationships at all levels (internally/externally)
Strong customer focus
Ability to negotiate, influence and handle conflict
Creative problem solver - able to challenge and propose solutions which challenge the status quo
Structured, disciplined approach to work and strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements/priorities
Proven ability to work in a global, multicultural environment
Willingness to travel, if required.
Must be located and able to be on client site in Houston, TX
