Project Manager

Position Description
The Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager, Strategic Development and other senior leaders within the company and will have responsibility for successfully leading the planning and execution of key strategic and continuous improvement projects. The Project Manager will provide the management team with regular updates on project status, key milestones and support the identification of project risks and development of mitigation strategies.
 
This position requires someone with strong attention to detail, significant planning experience, influencing skills, strong patient focus, good business judgment, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills.

The Project Manager is responsible for the development and ongoing management of the project management process and development of measures that track and contribute to the successful delivery of initiatives.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works on complex problems with analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Establishes and recommends policy and process changes that have significant effect on business unit
  • Regular interactions with cross functional groups, sales, corporate accounts, customers, and senior management
  • Identifies and selects effective models to solve complex business issues 
  • Document project progress including implementation, timelines, issues, risks, and successes to maintain project course
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support project goals in collaboration with business users and stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
2+ years experience in project management.

Critical Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field, or equivalent experience related to specialty care operations including operations and information technology and system implementations.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred with working knowledge of project management processes & tools
  • Deep understanding of the project management process including process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six-Sigma

    Additional Knowledge & Skills
    5+ years of experience in operations and or project management
  • 2+ years of experience presenting at senior management and/or executive levels
  • Superior organization and task management skills to facilitate a high level of detail management and multi –tasking
  • Healthcare pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Customer-service oriented, both internally and externally
  • Able to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Able to manage copious amounts of complex data and translate effectively into management reports or tracking tools

    Education
    4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
