A position for a Project Manager/Application Management Specialist in New York City is now open through Adecco Group for one of our national clients. This is a W2 contract. JOB DESCRIPTION The Application Management Specialist supports the IT Application Owner and will make sure that all applications are in line with the corporate policies and documentation for applications are complete and up to date. The Application Management Specialist supports the Application Management for the Application Lifecycle Management of one or more applications/services of an IT unit. (S)he ensures that the application(s) are enhanced and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the 'paying customer' and other stakeholders, as included in the application strategy and SLA's. Aside from good communication skills we do expect a thorough knowledge and experience in the area of Financial and Regulatory Reporting in Financial Service Institutions, ideally as a business process analyst, test manager or business process manager and the ability to interact with a multi-national, diverse team. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the onboarding, administration and documentation of application(s) owned in the respective business and regional area within the corporate policies. It is expected that he pro-actively seeks out potential gaps and amends them. (S)he will make sure that all specific documentation systems (dbRACE, dbSymphony, NAR) are complete and up-to-date. For new applications and new releases of current applications he supports the onboarding of these releases / applications onto the respective systems. In addition to the immediate tasks it is expected that the candidate is joining activities to build up know-how and experience within the Competence Center and helps to leverage the knowledge and experience of himself / herself and senior staff members. Other responsibilities: • Supports the Application Management for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of an application. • Contributes to the Identification and management of technical projects necessary to ensure required and established service levels are maintained. • Supports the management of strategic capacity, consumption and performance management (Forecast and management based on business plans). • Understands the requirements for policy-compliance for dbRAMM, SOX, ASG, ISP, Audit, etc. (including. the technical ITPM tasks). • Supports the management of software licenses, security certificates and contracts with service providers. • Contributes to the safeguarding of the availability of all necessary application/service knowledge and documentation. • Contributes to the safeguarding of the system stability through enhancement/maintenance periods. • Supports a smooth/successful transition to the production (steady-state) environment. • Provides assistance for L3 application support as required. • Implements controls to govern access to production servers and databases. • Ensures and governs effectiveness of information security controls around access to production data, especially for privileged access users (e.g. developers). • Provides guidance especially around accounts (de-) provisioning and re-certification. • Drive for solutions to reduce probability of damage, misuse or fraudulent use of systems. • Automate the provisioning of identities and permissions, through integration with applications and request system • Review and understand business requirements functional and non-functional specifications • Participate in stakeholder management within the application and project context, including stakeholders of up and downstream systems and external teams Candidate requirements • Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university or extensive work experience • Technology knowledge and expertise • Customer and service orientation to support interaction with team resources and clients • Performance and productivity oriented • Proven experience with IT Management policies and procedures • Proactively, initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people and achieve results HOW TO APPLY: Candidates interested in this position (Project Manager in New York City, NY) should apply immediately.
