What you’ll be doing...

This role is accountable for leading broad scope programs and projects with varying levels of complexity supporting the CMO. This position will work in partnership across the Verizon Marketing organization and business units to develop and drive a broad range of leadership priorities. In this capacity, you will develop strategies to effectively manage executive level programs and projects simultaneously. This will require capabilities of strategic foresight, agility, change management, outstanding organization operations and project management skills. You must demonstrate strong business acumen. You will manage multiple initiatives and be the point person to effectively manage project deliverables and timelines. You will have the personal opportunity to have a profound and positive impact on our business, be a change agent and drive continuous improvement to our process.

  • Provide end to end work stream management of core strategic marketing programs.

  • Develop and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for leadership and manage PMO processes.

  • Represent the PMO team in internal and external meetings, and sit in various stakeholders’ staff meetings to ensure tight integration across programs.

  • Strategize/plan/execute wide strategic initiatives; ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

  • Accountable for building integrated programs reaching across the CMO team.

  • Maintain current knowledge of strategic priorities, business results, industry issues, and the changing competitive landscape and best practices.

  • Lead key strategic and operational responsibilities of planning and execution.

  • Understand requirements and translate them into project deliverables and milestones.

  • Interface with key stakeholders to inform of plans, work in progress, and objective progress/results.

  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and make recommendations for improvements to processes.

  • Clearly articulate ideas, concepts and stories to leadership.

  • Perform with urgency and commitment to high quality results.

  • Create presentations and communications for Senior Leadership on key initiatives.

  • Manage executive reports and operational reviews with senior executives.

  • Own the entire project management process including managing relevant project documentation:

    • Project plan

    • Change Management process
    • Risk Mitigation plan
    • Project budget
    • Project status reporting
    • Project schedules & meeting logistics
  • Responsible for performing as a lead for assigned project teams:
    • Effectively manage cross functional teams through multiple stages of delivery/development.
    • Demonstrate diplomacy and ability to manage demanding customers.
    • Demonstrate leadership and initiative, and an ability to play multiple project roles.
    • Actively contribute to continuous PMO improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or related area; or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in program or project management, Integrated Marketing, or related experience.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA/MS.

  • High degree of structured problem solving skills, prioritization, and ability to get things done.

  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects, with a high competency in managing deliverables.

  • Flexibility with changing programs and processes.

  • Experience working within an ever-evolving/demanding environment with changing tasks/priorities.

  • Ability to develop creative solutions that address relevant and changing business needs.

  • Ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills within all levels in the organization including senior leadership; proven track record of forming and maintaining positive business relationships.

  • High degree of organization with excellent project management skills; experience working cross-functionally and cross-regionally.

  • Understanding of project financial and budget principles.
