Adecco Direct Hire is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client in the Transformer Service industry for the position of Project Manager Asset Management in Dallas, Texas. Candidates for this role need a minimum of 5 years of transformer service experience in the utility/electrical industry. This position would require up to 60% travel to start, as the Project Manager will be doing a great deal of site visits. A business-minded, self-starter is a MUST for this role. Additional duties and responsibilities include: Overview: The Project Manager Asset Management is responsible for planning, quoting and managing power transformer service projects, both technically and commercially. He/She coordinates all project-related work, such as transformer maintenance, modernization and retrofit, condition assessment etc. with customers. He/She performs site visits to determine project work scopes, proposes service solutions, manages service crews and hires and coordinates subcontractors. He/she is responsible for the correct offer and order processing including project monitoring. The Project Manager Asset Management respects the overall Asset Management business strategy and coordinates his activities with the responsible Regional Sales Manager and the Director Asset Management Business concerning ongoing and planned projects. Responsibilities: Offer elaboration, cost and sales price calculations Coordinate complex technical projects including the integration of external suppliers and contractors Determine and define project work scopes Analyze technical requirements and suggest service and retrofit solutions Perform continuous project risk and cost management Provide a suitable project documentation and performance reviews Ensure a good communication and represent an interface for the project team Prepare project reports Standardize processes concerning project management with regard to technical and commercial issues Suggest and implement improvements, required qualifications and strategic options to continuously develop the company's transformer service business Assist with and/or manage internal and intra-divisional projects Requirements: Minimum requirement: engineer or technician with relevant experience level Minimum 5 years of transformer service experience in the utility/electrical energy industry Basic knowledge in mechanical engineering Experience in offer and order processing as well as working with subcontractors Knowledge, experience and strong understanding of the operation of power transformer oil processing equipment including the performance of vacuum, oil filling, circulating and draining, transformer testing Knowledge to read, understand and interpret general arrangement drawings, electrical prints and one line diagrams as well as test data as well as knowledge in the Building Code, IEEE, AISC and ASCE standards related to the design of High Voltage Substations Strong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) Other Requirements: Willingness to occasional overnight travel and non-standard schedules at field locations A high level of motivation and the ability to work independently Customer oriented A business-oriented mentality Qualified candidates are asked to send a Microsoft Word version of their resume to Bob Kalbaugh at firstname.lastname@example.org for immediate consideration.
