Project Manager, Card and Consumer Banking Credit Management - IHM
Discover Products Inc. seeks a Project Manager, Card and Consumer Banking Credit Management in New Castle, Delaware to administer life cycle of credit management strategies. Leverage customer level information and predictive models to maximize profits, while using efficient trade-offs among key business metrics such as credit losses, receivables, and profit. Perform identification, design and implementation of complex statistical and business analyses in support of business strategy. Develop and enhance credit strategies, policies and processes. Develop financial impact estimates and socialize with marketing and finance business partners. Create and present strategy proposals to senior management, business partners and governance committees and get their buy-ins. Work with technology and operations to implement the strategy to ensure accuracy and soundness of execution. Conduct user acceptance tests and post production validations. Ensure adherence to operating procedures. Design and implement comprehensive tests and evaluate financial impact from various treatments. Identify opportunities for strategy and process improvement and establish effective risk controls in the strategies. Establish and maintain effective strategy performance tracking to ensure strategies are performing as expected. Update strategies and policies in a timely manner. Conduct Project Management and time management activities while working on multiple priorities simultaneously. Work independently and seek critical inputs from manager. Present performance monitoring and tracking reports to management on regular basis. Make profitable decisions by means of optimization schemes, customer segmentation and predictive models. Maintain integrity of policies by conducting periodic reviews. Train and mentor junior members of the team. Conduct adhoc analytics and present findings. Provide support for various internal and external audits. Promote a risk - aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS : Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field and three (3) years of experience: translating business objectives into analytical frameworks and performing statistical analysis using optimal trade-offs between risk and revenue metrics; working in a cross-functional environment supporting internal business partners such as Marketing, Operational Teams, Finance, Legal, and Compliance; utilizing statistical concepts and methods to perform analysis of industry, risk, and business metrics; conducting quantitative and data analysis including profit and loss (P&L), and utilizing SQL, SAS and Excel to perform predictive modeling and analysis; supporting implementation process and conducting UATs and Post Install Validation to ensure accuracy and soundness of execution.
