The Discover Deposit Products Operations Strategy team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead key initiatives, develop strategic enhancements and complete on-going process monitoring for tax-related processes, such as tax information reporting and delivery (e.g. 1099, 5498), state and federal withholding payments and filing, and IRS B and C Notices, within the Servicing team. In this role, the individual will innovate and drive operational strategies and process re-engineering for existing service delivery channels to meet key business and operational goals. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a streamlined and differentiated customer experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cross-functional projects, must be detail oriented, and be able to pivot quickly based on changing business needs. This individual needs to have a strong focus on delivering results to meet business goes and deadlines.
Managing key operational metrics and identifying opportunities to improve brand promise, service levels, and customer satisfaction
Managing strategies that drive to plan goals, monthly forecasting and overall volume forecasting
Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance the customer experience and improve efficiency
Creating process road maps and maturing ideas into actionable requirements to enhance processes or procedures
Managing and monitoring account servicing processes as assigned
Engaging with internal (Product, Marketing, Web Infrastructure, Legal, Field, and Business Technology) and external business partners, at all levels, to formulate actionable solutions to business problems
Documenting business processes and procedures when necessary; maintaining documentation as part of on-going change management
Ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations through development and oversight of key controls and operational reporting
Effectively and consistently communicating status and results to management, stakeholders and business partners as appropriate
Promoting a risk-aware culture, ensuring effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Engineering;
Minimum 3 years of relevant operational and process management experience;
Experience with or understanding of the Agile framework as part of the process enhancements.
Lean Six Sigma and/or demonstrated process improvement experience is desired.
Excellent communications (oral and written), interpersonal / business partnering, and organizational skills
