This role is responsible for fulfilling day-to-day project/program and general business activities – role is critical in supporting the Program Manager in daily activities, and Sponsors in the monitoring, reporting and execution of projects/programs. Candidate must:
Extensively understand all project management disciplines and their key activities, processes, and artifacts.
Have ability to serve as a guide to colleagues on project management disciplines.
Understand the relationship of their project(s) to the program and overall portfolio.
Have ability to manage multiple projects/activities through full life cycle, with little instruction on day-to-day basis.
Possess professional knowledge of product/function and has ability to apply this knowledge to project activities to enhance delivery
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Leading project kickoffs, and creating and managing project documentation (e.g., Project Charter, PMPs, etc.)
Understanding individual concerns and goals through proactive meetings. Gaining alignment on project needs and expectations from multiple groups.
Managing project change through communications, and implementation of other change management tools, including stakeholder analysis and change impact assessment.
Delivering accurate and timely data, metrics and reports.
Monitoring and tracking risks, issues and action items of assigned projects to ensure accountability, follow through and resolution as per prescribed commitments.
Participating in business management activities as needed
Experience as a project manager in financial services is required.
Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Experience in SharePoint, Clarity and Microsoft Access a plus.
