Proposal Director(Proposal Coach)- 130495
Promotes consistency in writing style through coaching and mentoring of internal and external writers on Anthem writing quality, product capabilities,and services. Works across multiple large-scale Medicaid proposals, supporting continuity, completeness, and packaging of technical responses. Functions as a Lead in the proposal process by working with Director of Proposal Writing Quality on training writers, managing content, and managing cross-functional resources to complete proposals. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

Involved in all aspects of proposal writing, messaging, and editing.
Assembles information from internal and external subject matter experts.
Ensures quality, completeness, and continuity of proposal writing.
Coaches writers for each proposal.
Provides needed training that is bid-specific throughout the bid process.
Participates in bid strategy with operations and business development teams.
Trains writers on bid strategy.
Validates and tests the business solution proposed through review and commenting on the writing, supporting writers to make adjustments to content.
Reviews and comments on content to align with the customer requirements, proposed staffing levels and solutions and identifies any gaps.
Directs writers in completeness and continuity in all proposal and Q&A responses.
Leads the activities of other staff and contracted staff performing related functions as assigned.
Develops processes and infrastructure to support submission of bids.
Develops processes that support enhancement of win strategies and final proposal submission after reviews.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 10 years of proposal related experience; in-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Process (FAP); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Additional Requirements:
MBA preferred/MPH preferred
APMP Foundation certification or equivalent professional certifications preferred.
Previous experience training/teaching adults
Previous experience working in Healthcare highly preferred
Previous experience working in Medicaid/Managed Care highly preferred
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work extended hours (evenings or weekends) if needed to meet bid deadlines and business requirements.
Person in this position must have ability to collaborate effectively.
Person in this position must possess strong desire to win.
