Job Description
Licensed Minnesota Peace Officer Officer:

Allied Universal is currently seeking a licensed Minnesota Peace Officer to perform general traffic control duties in the Minneapolis area. The purpose of this position is to ensure safety of motorists and their compliance with regulations regarding traffic and parking, conduct and use of facilities. The Traffic Control Officer will report directly to the Director of Security.

Responsibilities:

Traffic Control: Monitor area to facilitate and direct the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of patrons, be knowledgeable of regulations regarding parking and traffic, check vehicles for display of proper parking permits, monitor motorists for compliance with speed limits and traffic flow directions, and work cooperatively with the public, client staff and security personnel.

Assistance: Make contact with community and visitors and offer aid to those in need, provide directions to buildings, etc. Answer questions regarding traffic and parking regulations, and be available to assist in emergency situations by making the appropriate contact.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Education/Training:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in law enforcement, or related field.
An active Minnesota Peace Officer license issued by the Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST)

If you have received your schooling or passed the Post Board exam in another state, you will need to complete the Minnesota Post Board requirements for Peace Officer Licensing and have passed the MN Post Board Exam.
