Overview:


BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking two experienced (Per Diem) Physical Therapy Assistants( PTA) performing home health visits, one in Frederick County,one in Carroll County (Westminster area.)  We need individuals who are enthusiastic about working in the home setting – are compassionate, excellent, and reliable, and can help our clients maintain a safe quality of life with independence and dignity in the comfort of their own home.  As a home health PTA, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:



  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.

  • Carry out treatment plans as prepared by the Physical Therapist.

  • Educate and instruct clients, family members, and/or other caregivers in activities necessary to promote the client’s social and emotional well-being, safety, and independent living.  

  • Accurately document observations, interventions and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.


 



Qualifications:

Qualifications include:



  • Must have a current PTA license in the State of Maryland..

  • Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills

  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
