Account Technology Strategist (ATS) – Washington State
Would you like to become a trusted advisor to Microsoft’s top Public Sector clients in the Pacific Northwest Region? The State & Local Government team is seeking qualified candidates to be an Account Technology Strategist (ATS).
You’ll be part of a dynamic, fast paced and creative team covering Washington State Government customers. As the ATS, you will articulate how Microsoft will enable our clients to achieve their business goals and guide the customer to invest and adopt Microsoft’s products and services.
The ATS will be partnered in this Region with an Account Executive, and will act as our CTO to the customer, engaging with C-Level decision makers across IT and the business. The ATS drives this transition through the development of the customer’s long term technology roadmap, leading joint account planning and quarterbacking the virtual team to accelerate the sales and adoption of Microsoft technologies. You will actively enable customers to realize the value of their investment in Microsoft through usage of our cloud capabilities.
Key Accountabilities: Builds Trusted Relationships with Decision Makers, including the CIO, the CTO and their direct reports, as well as business unit decision makers within the customer’s organization. Broad knowledge of Microsoft Platform, competitive/industry awareness. The ability to paint the vision of how Microsoft would be the best partner to take the customer to where they aspire to be.
Demonstrate technical leadership by orchestrating the team and resources to move opportunities to close. Focuses on long-term sustainable growth through the deployment and usage of Microsoft technologies by their customers. Gathers and provides 360- insight of IT Technology profile, Partner and Competitive landscape of key customers to the entire Microsoft v-team.
How is the ATS role unique? Its focus on long-term, sustainable Growth. Its in-depth knowledge of customers- IT Technology environments. Its ability to ensure that the customer’s deployment of Microsoft’s technologies is poised to accept the latest Microsoft Innovations and Solutions Its ability to build long-term Trusted Technology Relationships which result in solid and meaningful Strategic Technology conversations. Its broad knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise Platform, and the ability to map relevant IT Technology Solutions to the customers- IT and Business needs and priorities.
• 5 years of technology sales.
• 3 years of Public Sector experience.
• Experience in Consultative Selling is recommended.
• Extensive experience in working within teams is required.
• Experience in Project Management is recommended.
• Prefers a certification in sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), consultative selling.
• Additional training or education in Business, Sales or Marketing is preferable.
• Prefers certification in Microsoft or relevant cloud, data center or mobility technologies.
