Purchasing Specialist Essential Job Functions/Duties Included but not limited to:
� Provide purchasing support and order placements with staff
� Prepare purchase orders and work with corporate accounts receivable and accounts payable to execute the orders
� Review and approve purchase order requisitions for materials, equipment or services
� Approve major purchases
� Obtain approval from management on major purchases
� Prepare shipping labels and FedEx packages
� Oversee vendor contracts
� Maintain vendor complaint system
� Oversee completion of purchasing duties, including coordinating Specialist schedules and ensuring all required tasks are complete each day
� Create and maintain documentation systems geared towards purchasing
� Maintain updated vendor files and vendor account information; continually track and asses vendor performance; assist in evaluating and selecting vendors; oversee vendor and consultant contracts; maintain vendor complaint system; maintain vendor qualification program
� Ensure proper documentation of purchases and vendor account information, equipment or services
� Assist in evaluating and selecting vendors
� Coordinate with other departments on the delivery, approval and use of received goods, equipment or services
� Control and maintain Sage software and purchasing procedures
� Maintain regular and punctual attendance
� Must maintain company quality and safety standards

Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements
� High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years relevant experience � This position requires an ongoing commitment to upgrading knowledge, job skill and abilities in addition to competency related to all duties and responsibilities listed above
� Trainability
� Attention to detail
� Exemplary typing, organization and communication skills
� Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
� Ability to prioritize tasks and problem solve
� Strong negotiation and investigative skills
� Must work and interact effectively and professionally with others
� Must have effective oral and written communication skills
� Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
� Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
