A lot of people don't know that Oracle has grown into one of the largest pure SaaS companies based on users and number of products that the cloud market is actually using in real life. Guess what? Locally, we are working at proper cloud scale. Lucky for us in Toronto, Oracle is building one of it's most modern SaaS platforms right here on Front Street West. You didn't know that, did you?
Our Labs Software Development team is looking for someone with strong QA DNA.

You should have a commercial software background and understand that as much as your role involves finding bugs, exposing flaws, and ultimately taking things through regressions, you are also required to help automate and design better process. THIS IS NOT A TEST ROLE. It's engineering and solving problems from the QA perspective. We need someone comfortable with coding and scripting, designing test scenarios, interpreting what the test data is showing and ultimately take control of how we ship into our product.
The Oracle Marketing cloud is 24/7 always-on global marketing demand platform. We have a respectable 3rd party ecosystem, very large API libraries, hosting, security and stability challenges -- because people use our software from all around the world. One data point going around is how we do about 14B transactions per day. That's cloud scale, if you look at stats like that.
Our group works in different technologies as our platform at the core is .Net, but our group is more Oracle stack and open source, but you will need to be the kind of individual that is tool agnostic.

This role is not suitable for QA/Test professionals with tools experience only.

Desired Skills and Experience
• 2-4 years experience programming and development, preferably in in test automation scripting.
• Strong object-oriented coding background.
• Experience developing in Ruby, Selenium or another similar tool
• Good understanding of software development methodologies and quality processes.
• High energy
• Team-player, quick learner and proactive.
• Experience working on products, not enterprise apps is a definite plu
Qualifications:
Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
