Quality Assurance Associate
The Quality Assurance Associate will participate in the various activities that evaluate and document the company’s quality improvement initiatives. The Quality Assurance Associate will uphold the culture of quality by fostering an environment of positive communication and continuous learning.
The Quality Assurance Associate will have accountability for engaging and applying enterprise quality standards and conformance to ensure consistent and expected service level outcomes. In addition, the Quality Assurance Associate will proactively identify potential quality opportunities through auditing of operational procedures, key performance metrics and transactions so that operational processes are being executed in accordance with defined processes, policies and procedures, regulations and service level standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform quality/process monitoring functions allowing Biologics to maintain a proactive quality program and to exceed customer expectations, as well as industry and regulatory quality standards.
Identify quality assurance opportunities by leading/participating in internal and/or external audits; including completion of all documentation requirements (audit checklists, reports and written/verbal communication)
Develop, implement and revise quality audit plans for existing and new clients according to contract requirements
Support the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); ensure content is aligned with SOP requirements and applicable regulations
Efficiently and effectively partner cross-functionally with Pharmacy Operations, Patient Support Services, Quality Control, Program Management, and others as required to ensure compliance
Use critical thinking skills to support the development and closure of Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPAs) and risk assessments
Analyze quality trending reports and present key observations/recommendations to stakeholders
Lead or assist with identifying non-conformances with requirements, provide suitable recommendations and facilitate ongoing quality improvements
5+ years quality assurance experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrates the ability to independently develop and present quality reports, audit reports and procedures
In-depth knowledge of core quality tools used to solve quality related issues and the ability to identify improvements to procedures
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Clear written and verbal communication skills and sound interpersonal skills including collaboration, and working well as part of a team
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
Lean Six Sigma or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred, but not required
