Role Summary:

Responsible for testing feature and or a small feature set. Contributes to the team and works with direction from Senior Team Members or management.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

+ Demonstrate awareness of the various testing types and methodologies

+ Understand that testing is part of development. Uses test driven development practices wherever possible

+ Write Unit Tests Cases and Integration Tests

+ Use code coverage tools to identify areas of code that are not tested

+ Learn new testing techniques and designs test cases to improve quality

+ Demonstrate awareness of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

+ Writes code using programming as well as scripting languages required to automate testing

+ Understand performance parameters and can assess application performance

+ Understand core data structures and algorithms

Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.Eligibility Requirements:

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

+ Must be willing to travel up to 10%

+ Must be willing to work out of an office located in Wauwatosa, WI

Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise:

+ A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in frontend application testing specifically using Selenium webdriver or Protector, Java Scripting, TS, Java.

+ A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in backend application testing specifically using BDD (ex: Cucumber, JBehave), SQL, curd operations, RESTAPI.Business Acumen:

+ Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks

+ Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team

+ Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer

+ Learns organization vision statement and decision making framework. Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization visionLeadership:

+ Voices opinions and presents clear rationale. Uses data or factual evidence to influence
