Adecco is currently assisting a local manufacturing client in their search for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector in their Grass Valley area location. This will be a temporary to hire opportunity. Quality Assurance Inspectors ensure that products manufactured by their employers meet industry and federal standards. You may work on a production line or test items in a controlled setting. This Quality Assurance Inspector position will be working within the medical field specifically with blown glass as the main product. Your goal is to assure that products can withstand regular use and that products work as intended. For example, quality inspectors of mechanical parts must insure that the parts do not contain any imperfections or weaknesses and will fit properly with other mechanical parts.
The specific tasks of quality inspectors change depending on the industry in which they are employed. However, in general inspectors analyze products, using either machinery or direct sensory observation, and determine whether they're suitable for the marketplace. Responsibilities for Quality Assurance Inspector include but are not limited to the following:
¿ Read blueprints and specifications
¿ Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
¿ Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
¿ Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
¿ Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers and other tools
¿ Accept or reject finished items
¿ Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
¿ Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
¿ Report inspection and test data
¿ Keeping Document Control binder up to date and maintaining current procedures
¿ Working as a team player is important; knowledge of Shipping, packaging, excellent computer skills, self-motivation and some artistic abilities will help in this environment.
Quality Assurance Inspector candidates must meet these requirements for consideration:
¿ High school Diploma
¿ Work experience in a manufacturing environment understanding; ISO knowledge
¿ Math skills a must
¿ Excellent interpersonal communications a must
